The People Have Spoken!!!
“This thing rocks hard... This record sounds like Kiss, except someone attached a giant set of truck nuts to them.”
“This is great stuff... High-octane, pedal-to-the-metal boot-stomping testosterone-fueled rock and roll... It's the kind of music that makes you want to get into a barroom brawl. Feral and virile, uncompromising and unapologetic... THIS ROCKS!!!”
“The night closed out in full throttle fashion when Killers N’ Exiles took over Kick Butt Coffee. Nasty, swagger, down-n-dirty rock-n-roll poured off the stage—thumping low end, razor-sharp riffs and hooks that hit hard and stay stuck. The power trio played like a wrecking crew with precision, confidence, and zero wasted motion, turning the room into a loud, sweaty celebration of real rock energy.”
Arising from the ashes of Midnight Killers and The Exiles, Killers N’ Exiles bring hook-laden hard rock and a high-energy live show that will unite fans of classic rock, hard rock, punk rock---even metal.
Birthplace of the Stooges, the MC5, The White Stripes and so many others… Growing up in Detroit indelibly influenced Daniel Borden’s style, sound, and fiery stage presence. A belter in the tradition of Morrison, Danzig and Ian Astbury, Borden’s vocals combine strength and control… But his raw, raunchy Gibson and Marshall-driven guitars add the mess to the finesse.
Coming to Austin from Kansas City in 2011, Kriss Ward has toured the US and beyond as a drummer, but also as a frontman! Ward’s drums and backup vocals add power, dynamics and the musicality of a conductor to Killers N’ Exiles.
South Texas native Jay Villareal grew up on a steady diet of everything from Rush to Iron Maiden to Guns N Roses to The Descendants. These diverse musical influences provide the perfect inspiration to lay down the foundation for Killers N’ Exiles’ sound: nimble but powerful with a thumping low-end you can feel in your guts.
Tracks like Turn You Out and Jack of All Trades explode from your speakers or earbuds with urgency and hard-assed swagger… But tracks like In the Shadows and Dragonlily display the hooks and songcraft that show that this band aren’t just ham-fisted bashers. The Killers N’ Exiles sound is a marriage of the energy and excitement of punk, with the muscle and precision of metal. The result is a sound that is like your favorite pair of jeans---loose and tight in all the right places. Killers N’ Exiles bring the energy, excitement, and power that deliver a complete rock experience.
